Group 1: Administrative and Repetitive Task Positions
1. Entry level employee requiring continuous supervisory oversight.

Employee performs simple and routine repetitive tasks. Follows a clearly defined series of instructions, with continuous supervision.
2. Employee not requiring continuous oversight. Employee follows defined instructions.
Work frequently involves performing repetitive tasks and may also involve performing "step by step" instructions.
3. Employee has training and experience in occupation. Also has some decision making capabilities.
Employee has decision making capabilities within defined parameters. Does not require continuous supervision.
Group 2: College Graduate Positons
Employee has decision making capabilities within defined parameters. Does not require continuous supervision.
4. Employee is a recent college graduate, or has ample experience without degree.
Employee generally performs project oriented work, such as: analysis, research, planning, or sales functions. Supervision is provided by a Manager or VP.
5. Employee performs similar work as in level 4, and has considerable experience.
Employee is given specific directives or deliverables and is obligated to meet requirements on a set timeline.
Group 3: Management Positions
Employee is given specific directives or deliverables and is obligated to meet requirements on a set timeline.
6. Manager and Project Manager positions, except General Manager.
Employee has the skill set to perform functions above, and is also required to interact significantly with other departments within the organization, and/or with persons outside the organization. Employee can lead projects and develop: plans, budgets and analysis.
7. Director positions, except Executive Director.
Employee is expected to manage projects with minimal supervision. Can commit company to contractual obligations, with defined limits. Employee's work product can materially affect the overall performance of the organization.
8. VP and General Manager positions.
Employee is required to establish plans and methods in order to meet specific company objectives. Must be familiar with all available company resources to solve problems and perform duties. Employee is frequently required to solve unique problems.
9. Senior VP, Executive VP and certain "C-level" positions, such as CFO, CIO, COO, except CEO.
Employee is responsible for high-level administrative functions. Must demonstrate resourceful actions with limited guidance in order to achieve company objectives. May engage company in new initiatives and be responsible for coordinating resources for all analysis, planning, problem solving, and other functions to meet objectives.
10. President, CEO positions, and Executive Director of not-for-profit organizations.
In almost all instances, this employee is the most senior person in an organization. Employee works almost exclusively in company policy and high level corporate functions. Is responsible for implementation of initiatives created by the Board of Directors.
